MEET Stephanie Desaulniers

I started my knitting supplies business in 2013 and grew to the point where I was partnering with manufacturers and sales rep by 2020. During that time, I saw a need for greater education geared towards "micro-businesses" and specifically, women owned product businesses. I co-founded an Entrepreneur Center in Central PA (still in operation!), and on the tail of shutting down my original business in 2020, started Business by Dezign.

I am known for my real-talk about what it's like running a small product business that only makes a few hundred to thousand dollars a month, scaling when you have no extra money to invest, creating our own rules and trying things that supposedly “don’t work” for makers.

With a focus on real-world advice and timely guidance, I work to support makers of all size regardless of whether your goal is $10,000 or $10,000,000.
